Hello!

I’m Al Young, and this blog is a daily recap of my solo self-supported bicycle trip across America 2018.

I touch upon the highs and lows, often the weather–which plays a big role in my life as a gardener and outdoor enthusiast but is my constant companion on the road, on my bike.

In general, you can count on me to be very upbeat and positive. I love to ride, see new places and meet new people–that’s why I’m out here doing this.

Please post any questions or comments where it says, ‘Leave a comment,’ below the date of each post. Reading your comments is like getting mail, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hope you enjoy!
