Day 103. August 5. Rainy rest day in Charlottetown, PEI

It was forecasted to be a very rainy day today so we decided to do a car trip to the far western side of PEI. Two days ago, Paul joined us and today Angelica is joining us.  So Paul wanted to ride back from a point and I tho’t I’d join him, thinking the rain would have stopped by then.  But, alas, it didn’t.  So my bike rode on the bike rack all day.  And I mean all day.  We left at 9:30 this morn and didn’t get home til 5:30.  But Paul got off and rode back in the rain.  Tough guy.

We drove from Charlottetown to North Cape, the furthest point north in PEI and back again a different route.  We drove the North Cape Coastal Drive.  Saw much country.  Beautiful rural farmland.

One thing I saw today was lots of potato fields.  Many had white blossoms but many also had purple flowers.  Once I decided to get a photo, the purple flowers disappeared.  Go figure.

On the ride, we stopped periodically and this was a shot I took, thinking it looked like a dance.

So when we got home, I felt bad about not riding today that I decided to weed the flower bed that led to the front door of our rental.   I Couldn’t believe how weedy the beds were.  Really disgusting for a rental.

Made me feel good to do something worthwhile.
